The “fetus” statute very obviously does NOT apply to the case in question. The baby was newborn, it was not a fetus.

And also, note this wording:

This mother is being accused of killing her own newborn baby — NOT “the fetus of another.”

The stupid. It burns. This is why I won’t have anything to do with the right wing any more. They’re liars.

Especially when it comes to the latest anti abortion outrage that they hope to parlay to new laws.
