Now we are talking individual actions as opposed to government sanctioned ones. If I put the guys nuts in a vice to get the info for myself and am sent to jail , that’s a world of difference that making the case that the police should do it and making it legal.

Yes ,, placing someones nuts in a vice may get you jail time, so would you waterboard him with the polices and courts okay to elicite the info?
