It amazes me that a lot of the first reaction here was that it was probably alright, that we weren’t getting the whole story, that the congressman may have had a right to do what he did…

If the kid was holding a gun or knife in the face of the congressman, using some foul language, if there was some evidence of physical provocation… then the congressman might have some reason to have responded like he did…

NOTHING in those tapes suggests that… even in the tape edited down from two tapes… which evidently left nothing out, and simply inserted some title cards… it was obvious that the congressman overreacted in the least.

But that seems to be a blind spot to some… scary in my opinion. This kind of behavior is not good for either side… and you have the volatile wacky right just waiting for more physical push-back like this.

If we start having people on both sides get reactionary like this, shits going to break out… there are a lot of wacky rights that are just hoping for more of this.
