Many people ignore the political rammifications of Iran OBTAINING a bomb. Even if they don’t use it at all.

It will mean a radical realignment of geostrategic forces, and the US will lose a LOT of influence.

That’s a big issue, and is my best guess at this time—they want nukes for the prestige nukes give you on the block. And that will be a big problem.
