I agree. Whatever somebody says or does, you have to look & listen to how they say or do it. And watch over time. Then you can discern whether they are telling the truth or lying.

When watching the video of Obama saying “I love America” his affect was flat and robotic, as it was through much of the speech, his head turning left and right as he read his faithful teleprompter. I got no sense that he meant it, nor on the other hand, any sense that he was lying. In fact, I got no sense of any emotional commitment to what he was saying at all.

So much of his speeches are like that. A stern, mildly hectoring tone, almost as if he’s bored with it. Dull eyes, flat affect, and a steady rhythmic cadence. The alleged Obama eloquence is utterly lost on me.
