We’ll always have desperate people walking about. The best that can be done is to contain them. And it wasn’t even mostly Reagan’s fault. It was a bipartisan screwup.

I don’t suppose we’ll agree on the issue then.

But I’ll mention that whenever I used to talk about the good things Clinton did, I’d get a lot of “he had a Republican Congress” from the conservatives here. And when Clinton messed up, he was “a lousy democrat.”

Just sayin.
