Video: CO2 Bubbling Up, Up, Up

You know, you can’t really see CO2. So some people tend to ignore the
consequences of much too much of it in the atmosphere.

So try this experiment.

The next time you are in Las Vegas head out east to visit one of the marvels of engineering, the Hoover Dam. Even though it will cost more, you should pay to visit all of the open engineering spaces. And outside pay attention and you can see where they buried a dog accidentally killed during construction. (As a pet person that made my wife very sad).

Then head back west late in the afternoon.

Look carefully at the far horizon.

Ask yourself what that big old smudge you see in the sky might be.

“Oh my goodness, you mean we are actually BREATHING all that junk on the way to the casinos and that Penn and Teller show? YUCK”

That is a very visible sign of how human acts affect the environment. I am fairly certain the water level won’t rise high enough to swamp Las Vegas. But do you all really want to spend the rest of your life breathing all that stuff?
