One con I went to, there actually was a sort of intentionally nasty, matted and horrific Care Bear walking the halls late at night. The badge read SCARE BEAR and it would just get uncomfortably close to people, leaning in with its giant care bear head with it’s big dead cow eyes. I think the idea was to compromise the sanity of anyone on acid at the convention.

That should keep any adoring children at bay. Otherwise I would think you’d be a huge draw for the kiddies.
