re: #759 nikis-knight

Well, you aren’t Kilgore, who I challenged to explain it if he could rather than dismiss me.

And more importantly, that reads very similar to what I said, namely that while socialists/communists might be international and fascists nationalist, both are collective and very much leftists in the sense that the term is used in the last few decades, and the American “right” has far less in common with either than they have with each other, in practices and positions advanced, dispite any rather archaic philosophical differences.

If one is studying the details of collectivists movements, yes, there are differences, but in a one-axis political description, there is far too many similarities between them and differences between collectivism and American conservatism (classical liberalism) to place them at opposite ends of the only descriptive axis. Hence why so many here say that at extremes the movements are indistinguisable; that’s only because you are categorizing according to measures of tangential importance.

So thank you for supporting my assertions.

Communists, being universalists, do not embrace racism and are internationalists; fascists, being ethnocentric and geography centered tribalists, do embrace racism and are nationalists. But both governmental forms are imperialistic and totalitarian.

Both are on the collectivist fringe of the individualist-collectivist spectrum, with anarchists on the individualist fringe, but they are entirely distinct and different strains of collectivism.

Constitutional democracy inhabits the moderate, sensible center between the extremes of the different collectivisms of Right-Hegelian fascism and Left-Hegelian communism and the individualist extreme of anarchism. We should not aspire to approach either fringe.

Islamofascists are theocratic fascists, and so were the Nipponese, ruled by the Chrysanthemum Throne of God-King Emperor Hirohito, and both share racism and tribal supremacism; the Islamofascists against the Jews (like the Nazis), and the Nipponese against Caucasians, blacks, and even other Asians; would you call either of them communists?

As I said in another post, communists and fascists are like rattlers and coral snakes; they’re both reptiles, but rattlers have hemotoxic venom while coral snakes have neurotoxic venom. Their poisons kill you in differing ways, but they both kill you, and in either case, you’re just as dead.
