I’ve never NOT defended Jews here, Ace. I’ve disagreed on Israeli policy, but as I’ve said many times, I don’t equate people’s government with their religious beliefs. If they wish to equate themselves, their religion, and government policy as all being one and the same, that’s their perogative.

And it wasn’t even about Judaism so much as it was using a religion, ANY religion, as part of a slur. Hindu-hater, Catholic-hater…granted, they’re not used expressions, but they’re no different.

Jewish is a national identity. It is the people of Israel, the nation of Israel. The Juden/Jews are the people of Judah, the place where Jerusalem is. The religious beliefs are secondary.
