Why do we suddenly need an academic whiz in charge of things? What changed?

I dont’ know about you, but all I kept hearing was how incredibly fucking smart Obama was over and over and over again. It was beaten to death.

Maybe some actual, I dont’ know, EVIDENCE of it would have been nice… You know, something other than his little “ME ME ME ME ME ALL ABOUT MEEEEEEEEE” books, and voting “Present”.
