Ah, geez, I really gotta try to keep up with military news - when I served with the 8th SFG (I was NOT SF qualified, just TDY’d to them for a couple years) in the Canal Zone and elsewhere, the 7th was a Ft Devon, Mass, IIRC and I was just wondering if y’all ever got the coordinates wrong and managed to place a few charges around Lt. Kerry’s place, cause ya know he’d understand mistakes in navigation! LOL! But it’d be really hard to do that if they were at Ft. Bragg!

LOL, that’s OK, I wasn’t assigned to 7th Group, just attached for training. I was also NOT SF qualified, those guys are HALF NUTS on a good day. I don’t think I trained them for anything relating to DS, I’m not even sure that they got deployed to the Middle East. Of course, everything was real hush, hush back then because the fun hadn’t started yet.
