You are numb, a human can only take so many emotional body blows then, IIRC you kinda shut down. Defense mechanism maybe? I’m talking without being a psshrink or having stayed at a Holiday Inn. Had one of my troops lose his parents and grandparents a week a part and the kid just went into a shell.

I’m really angry, but that’s about it. I expect the rest will come soon enough.

The sad part? It’s my son’s first birthday today. I have to go home and try to have a good time with my extended family.
