And I bet the subject of the possible play was Henry Lowenstein. Not to name drop, but Henry is a good friend of mine. He even was at my wedding, many years ago. He is considered the grandfather of theatre in the Denver area.

He is also one of the kinderkids, the children that were smuggled out of Germany in the late 30’s to be placed in foster care in England.

You are correct Walter. The candidate did most of his research at the Denver Public Library where they have Lowenstein’s personal papers. The play has a flashback which involves WWII.

I can’t tell you who the candidate is. His phd is n theater.
