All this talk of ethnic costumes and lizard love for womenfolk of the Asian persuasion is kinda getting away from the original point I had, which was bascially wondering how well Western women could look in an ‘ethnic’ outfit like a Cheongsam, Qi Pao or Ao Dai…

Also worth noting that the two or three (American) women I mentioned this to said they didn’t think it would be that good a look for them when I clarified that I wasn’t referring to a kimono…..and then they brought it up several weeks later and said it might be a good idea after all, and the only reason they didn’t warm up to it right away was because they thought I was talking about a kimono.

I think a cheongsam could look nice on a fairly slim non-Asian woman. Not me. But some.
