Ex-Lieutenant Governor Steele is a conservative Catholic Republican.
He is not an elected politician right now, he is the chairman of the fundraising arm of the GOP.

The fact Mr. Steele happens to be black doesn’t confer on him any special power to counter Pres. Obama’s leftist policies.

The GOP lost, and Mr. Steele doesn’t have equal stature to counter Pres. Obama.

It is uphill, my friend. We all have work to do to get back the microphone, get people listening and thinking about what’s important to do right, to win future elections. (I have one in my city next week, for city council, and will try to elect GOP members including a black conservative.)
