I consider myself a staunch liberal but revolution should be the last recourse. As Jefferson wrote “When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth,” We didn’t need a revolution last year. Changes, yes but revolution, no.

If anything, it is a miracle that we haven’t collapsed in outright revolution since the founding (Civil War notwithstanding).
