He could simply say that the burqa is a symbol of Islamist repression of women and thus Un-American. That would be lawful, but he will never do that. Nicholas Sarkozy has political courage, Barack Obama has none.

I respectfully disagree, it’s not up to a POTUS to decide what religious clothing symbolizes, it’s not his constitutional responsibility.
