Not stupid. Devious, IMO. They want YEC/ID taught as science, not faith. They are trying to get ID put in schools as science.

If the IDers succeed, the school boards should push for the inclusion of alchemy and astrology in the science curriculum. After all, during the Kitzmiller case, Michael Behe was obliged to admit that his definition of science included both subjects. While they’re at it, why not throw in occultism, Kabbalah, even Tarot cards? /s.
