re: #88 ausador

What she said was absolutely correct, when it comes to evangelical Protestants and the Baptist Conference, which together make up the majority of Christians in this Country. They both say so explicitly and are not ashamed of it.

Do Baptists and Evangelicans really make up “the majority” or are they just a very vocal plurality? Anyhow, I was not just talking about “this country”. I am not even from the US.

Perhaps you belong to a less strident sect, after all there are now over 1000 practicing sects of Christianity in the United States. Still what she describes is actually the official majority Christian opinion within this country. Clean the mote from your eye before attempting to remove the beam from another’s eye. ;P

What I am trying to get at is that Christian-Jewish reconciliation is not a fringe or fraudulent position in Christianity, nevermind Evangelicals or the US. Developments like the aforementioned Vatican II, or, for Protestants, Towards Renovation of the Relationship of Christians and Jews of the Synod of the Evangelical Church of the Rhineland have been real and should not be ignored.
