WHAT?! Better leadership than Pelosi and Reid? What? Those two hacks got to where they got to because they are politicians - Pelosi is a Female Dem from San Francisco - I figure her re-election is secure for as long as she wants to be in the House of Reps or until she dies.
Harry Reid the same (although he’s more vulnerable cause he hasn’t done much to help out the city of Lost Wages and the Casino owners ain’t happy with him) but he can overcome that and stay in office until he wants to quit or dies, just like Pelosi.
It’s hard to “lead” when you are in such a minority position in Congress, yet the House Republican leadership DID get ALL of the house Repub’s to oppose this ridiculous spending bill (and persuaded, iirc, 11 Dems to join them) and the Senate Minority Leadership got all of the Repub’s to vote against it; unfortunately Specter, Collins and Snowe have an (R) after their names, so the bill passed the Senate as well.
Add to that the the White House and the MSM are OWNED by Obama (D-Ill) and tell me how “better” leadership among the Republican Congresscritters would have made a difference?
