F-102. That was right after the F-100 Super Sabre and it wasn’t exactly a trustworthy aircraft. Child of that was the F-106 Delta Dart which would carry the Genie Missile.

I’d like any modern Pilot who has only flown these new fangled fly themselves planes to try handling a Thud.(F4) Back then there wasn’t all this nice gps and other nagigational aides. You had throttle tach and horizon indicator basically rest was all you. Now adays your bird tells you if you are a few feet off your flight path.
