Keep the legal gun-owning populace relatively unarmed while the criminals who don’t care about laws gets the superior firepower. And every time some “assault” weapon is used illegally the anti-gun crowd screams for more restrictions.

Why bother actually ENFORCING the current laws when you can do nothing and just legislate more laws that criminals will ignore.
