The reaction or lack there of of the MSM in ‘covering’ these peaceful protests all over the country is proof enough for me that they have had an impact and are definitely worthy of the effort…

Your lead argument is flawed. What the MSM does or doesn’t cover, or the way they cover it, does not mean anything.

It’s not even 24 hours into this, and you say they’ve had an impact. How can you say that? Did you already do some poll? Do you already have the results of the elections in 2010?

You don’t know if they are worthy of the effort, except to say that it could help, may hurt, who really know.
