(hey Avanti, what is the total now that the US has provided to the Italians as aid money for the earthquake?)

So far just the 50K from the embassy but Italy has 10 weeks to summit requests for aid from Europe so may wait with them to evaluate the funds needed for the damage done. If you want a big check earlier ask your Congressman :

“Italy has 10 weeks to say how much the damage is and the funds can be mobilized quite quickly once we have received the information,” the spokesman told AFP after Italy’s EU ambassador made the request.
