LGF Technical Update - Ajax News Feeds 5
Another enhancement to our Ajax-driven news feeds: since the handling of the “title” attribute differs so wildly from browser to browser, I’ve implemented a Javascript popup method instead to display the article excerpts.
You can see the excerpts by hovering your mouse over a headline; a box pops up showing you the first 40 words of the post for that headline.
Additional tech note: the popup boxes are created with a nice, feature-packed Javascript library called: overLIB.
UPDATE at 2/15/07 5:33:34 pm:
And while I’m on the subject, a note to the web gecko at The Corner: you’ve got some bogus (aka, incorrect) character entities showing up in your description tags, dude. Or dudette.
