Is Dan Rather the world’s most amazing unabashed hypocrite, or is he over-medicated? Editor & Publisher has an article (with discredited hack Greg Mitchell’s usual in-your-face bias) about a Bill Moyers PBS anti-war hit piece, in which Rather bemoans how he let himself be “fooled” by the Bush administration: ’Devastating’ Moyers Probe of Press and Iraq Coming.

This, from the man who tried to fool an entire nation with phony documents intended to skew the 2004 presidential election. The stench of gall is overwhelming.

But Dan Rather, the former CBS anchor, admits, “I don’t think there is any excuse for, you know, my performance and the performance of the press in general in the roll up to the war … We didn’t dig enough. And we shouldn’t have been fooled in this way.”
