The latest version of the iPhone operating system is now available with some big enhancements. To install the latest version connect your iPhone to the computer, launch iTunes, click on your iPhone in the Devices menu in the sidebar, and use the “Check for Update” button in the iPhone’s “Summary” tab. I did the update about 30 minutes ago and had no trouble downloading or installing, although some people were reporting server jams earlier today.

One of the niftier new features: iPhone 3.0 Finds Your Lost iPhone and iPod touch.
