Here’s redstate.com’s head wingnut, Erick Erickson, confronted by Stephen Colbert with just a few of the weird extremist statements he’s made; for example, that “Justice Souter is a goat-f*cking child molester,” and “I didn’t realize the Nobel Prize committee had an affirmative action quota.”

Erickson says the former statement “wasn’t his finest moment,” but he stands by the “affirmative action quota” statement. (Proving once again that there’s no racism on the right wing.)

But I don’t know why he renounces the former statement; it’s accepted practice on the right to accuse opponents of being child molesters.
