Ted Cruz’s Senior Adviser Blames Obamacare for Ebola, Then Says It Was “Sarcasm”
Here’s today’s example of right wing humor, which doesn’t really resemble the thing most of us know as “humor.” After the news broke about Dr. Craig Spencer testing positive for Ebola in New York City last night, Ted Cruz’s senior adviser and deputy chief of staff Nick Muzin took to his Twitter account to blame Obamacare for the US Ebola cases. Because of course he did. Humor!
Which politician will be the first to try to capitalize on this new case? Rand Paul is calling his staffers right now.

In case you missed it, Ted Cruz’s senior advisor tweeted this, then quickly deleted it: pic.twitter.com/3jEHPdAXGB

When people started reacting to this crazy comment, because let’s face it, it’s really pretty awful, Muzin quickly deleted his tweet. Then, a few minutes later, possibly after a conversation with his boss, he decided to haul out the favorite conservative excuse for saying horrible things without actually apologizing:
Earlier tweet was a bad joke, my sarcasm did not translate well online. Deleted.

They never get tired of the hoary old “sarcasm” excuse.
(And to make this even more gross, Muzin is actually a doctor himself.)
