If the Dems were smarter, after this primary season they would get rid of caucuses and open primaries. Both make no sense whatsoever.

John Robert’s post racial America, example #105,432.

Black mail carrier arrested by NYPD while delivering packages

Glen Grays, a postal worker in Brooklyn, had his delivery route cut short on St. Patrick’s Day when he was handcuffed by four plainclothes police officers and placed in an unmarked car.

Cellphone video filmed by a bystander shows Grays in his postal service uniform, holding a package, when the officers approach him. The video doesn’t show what led up to the encounter.

The footage was released this week by Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams, who said Grays had been “carrying out his normal duties” as a mail carrier when he got out of his truck and “a vehicle passed by him, almost striking him.”

“He made comments to the vehicle, as any New Yorker would,” Adams said at a news conference Wednesday. “The occupants of the vehicle stopped, backed up when he was crossing the street delivering the package.”

Those occupants were the four plainclothes officers who followed Grays to his delivery stop, according to Adams. The video shows the officers tell Gray to “stop resisting.” They then take him away in handcuffs, leaving his mail truck unattended.

……..

Adams, the borough president, said that after the police vehicle drove away, it rear-ended another car and that Grays, who wasn’t placed in a seatbelt, was injured in the crash.

“The driver, who had turned around to taunt him, hit the vehicle in front of them, Mr. Grays said, causing him to bang his shoulder against the front seat. Mr. Grays was then taken to the 71st Precinct station, where he was issued a summons for disorderly conduct that will require him to appear in court. He was then released.”

Beautiful day? Check!
Adult beverages? Check!

Life is good.

Washington has both—the Presidential Primary is on May 24. I think the Republicans take their delegates half-and-half from the caucus and the primary—that’s from an election or two ago, and may be obsolete information: use with caution. The Democrats don’t recognize the Primary at all.

I filled up on my calorie count for the day, so alas, I am going to have to do without the adult beverages and other indulgences. In addition, tomorrow Mrs. Fish wants to go out for lunch, and her choice of restaurant will basically ensure the same is true tomorrow.

Yeah, that’s the problem. I’m tall and - well, was skinny - and not very muscular. I could probably afford to slim down a bit, plus the fact that I do a lot of sitting.

Yeah. I have a desk job myself. Started at the gym last year then started lifting weights last June. I’m 218 right now down from 227 when i started cutting. My goal is 210 then probably going to bulk more. Added a good 15 lbs of muscle after going from 250 to 195.

I’m a little over 6’ 1” and right now I’m sitting at 215. The maximum “normal” BMI for that height is 190, but I’m going to settle for 200. We’ll also see how that plays with my diet; if I’m eating 2000 calories a day and my weight starts going up, well, I’m probably not going to worry about it too much.

I totally understand that. I would love to bulk up a little bit, but it’s too much work. I’m eating around 1500 right now to lose, and it’s been working; I’m back down from 220 (I had a weight spike centered around a few business trips) to my usual 215 in about 2 weeks. It’s a lot better than the 265 I was in January of last year; the health benefits alone from losing 50 lbs are remarkable. Lower blood pressure, easier breathing at night.

It’s a solid day for him. He looks to gain 60-80 delegates. It’s kind of a shame for him that Wisconsin isn’t for two weeks, because that’s the sort of day that could turn into momentum.

But yeah, caucuses, especially caucuses out west, are kind of his jam. For all the Sanders’ voters claims that Hillary is a one-trick pony with Southern primaries, Sanders victories are almost entirely relegated to caucuses. Vermont, New Hampshire, Oklahoma and Michigan are his only primary victories, and the first two are pretty much ‘home state advantage’ wins.
