It’s disturbing how the term “fake news” was so quickly co-opted by the right wing to attack the left, when every study shows that the vast majority of fake news originates from right wing sources.

It would be more believable if she didn’t have a history of crap like this between shut up and dribble and outing gay classmates at Dartmouth and I’m sure there’s more. You want to say shit like this, fine? But don’t expect advertisers whose consumers may not care for a woman old enough to be someone’s mother mocking someone for not getting into their college of choice. Laura brought this on herself. Interesting. It would be interesting to see your production some time.
Thankfully for my body’s own aches from work, our tradition is simpler and older. We gather for Maundy Thursday and do the foot washing. After the communion we then strip the altar - we take down all the decorations that can be taken down, take off the linen altar cloths, wash the altar and leave in silence after reciting Psalm 22. Over the night is the “Gethsemane watch” where we take turns sitting for an hour, staying awake in remembrance alongside the sacramental elements (I did 4 to 6 am this year) Then Good Friday, in the barren looking church, first the passion reading & then communion from reserved sacrament. Then silence as we leave.
I am glad that no one has figured out how to “Hallmark” these couple of days (“Come hang out with us!”) Easter is bad enough.

re: #14 Backwoods_Sleuth
“”David Hogg’s attempt to end Laura Ingraham’s career sets dangerous precedent”“
It sure does, and the dangerous precedent is a clear message to persons like Ingraham that you shouldn’t f*ck with people because sometimes you meet your match. David Hogg is Ingraham’s superior in intelligence. He’s way smarter than she is. He went straight for the jugular—-her advertisers. She knew before she sent the tweet attacking/mocking David Hogg that her Fox program was supported by ad companies, so if she loses her position at the network, it’s on her. Ingraham has become very accustomed to running roughshod over others and getting away with it. Not this time. She’s finally getting a full meal served to her in regard to what she’s been dishing out to others, and she doesn’t like the taste of it. Too bad, and I have zero sympathy for her. What would give me great satisfaction and pleasure would be having all of her advertisers pull their ad dollars from her program.
