RE: Aaron Rodgers
Via Adrianne Pasquarelli of adage.com, a State Farm spokesperson declined to comment on the company’s relationship with Rodgers.
”It would be inappropriate for us to comment on Aaron’s vaccination status,” the spokesperson told Pasquarelli via email. “This weekend our marketing focuses on the success of our first-ever Team State Farm Football Find and the unveiling of a new commercial with NFL legend Terry Bradshaw.”
Pasquarelli notes that, earlier this week, State Farm unveiled a virtual treasure hunt that allows consumer to use cellphones to search for digital prizes, one of which is a football signed by Rodgers.

The end of Rebecca Solnit’s article in the Guardian, reference in the last thread (and it was good, which means it agrees with me):
Eric Levitz at New York Magazine has noted that, according to polls, “only a quarter of the public thinks the Build Back Better agenda is going to help ‘people like them’”, and he links to an ABC report that also says “Democrats are failing to sell the legislation to the public, who are broadly unaware of what is in the spending packages.” Though if the public is broadly unaware of what’s in the biggest and most transformative legislation in decades, that’s a huge failure by the media as well as the party. Reporting that people don’t see what’s in it for them instead of reporting on what is in it for them might be the problem in a nutshell.
(my emphasis)

The $1.2 trillion infrastructure package and nearly $2 trillion ‘Build Back Better’ plan are widely expected to lift growth and jobs in the coming years

I certainly agree with JJ MacNabb — it’s a lovely house with unattractive furniture. But then it’s amazing how brokers can produce a set of photos that can transform a home for purposes of enhancing the interest in prospective buyers. Yes, creative photography seems to flourish in the real estate business.
The son of a realtor bought the house next to mine a few years ago. They just flipped it this past summer for about 25% above the highest price for that model of house in my development. The zillow pictures were amazing. And my property taxes will be going up next year.

Could long covid unlock clues to chronic fatigue and other poorly understood conditions?
Among his fellow researchers is Akiko Iwasaki, a Yale immunologist and principal investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, who lists five hypotheses that she believes could explain the biological underpinning of long covid. Top among them is what she calls a “viral reservoir” of persistent virus or viral remnants in the body that cause chronic inflammation. Autoimmune disease could also be triggered by the coronavirus, Iwasaki believes.

If you think about it, it makes sense. Prey animals are often more sensitive to movement. Cats, as predators, instinctively know this, and stop moving when the thing they’re stalking looks at them, in order to minimize the chances of being detected and causing their would-be victim to flee.
