Granted, it was a tactical error on Biden’s part, but in the end, well, fuck their feelings. He did not call Doocey an enemy of the people.
Got left hanging responding to mitch’s idiocy
Biden won the EC 306-232
He won the popular by 8m.
The 50/50 senate is not the correct metric.
Oh and tfg lost the popular vote too.
Did he govern based on that?. Hell no.
Now explain how kavanaugh was the single absolute best this country had to offer.

Biden gets lost in the moment. Not that it’s a bad thing, but he doesn’t quite have the political filter that, say, McConnell has. He’s just a good man and good men don’t need rules.

Live linear TV is dying. Young people mostly stream on-demand, leaving the live linear audience to be mostly older. If you look at TV ratings, demo shares continue to decline. Linear TV watching declined around 7% just in the last year.
So the corporations such as Comcast/NBCU are doing what they can to reduce costs of linear TV, looking for ways to draw in more streaming customers.
Joe S. is already under contract, so it’s probably cheaper to pay him for an extra hour than go seeking another person of some name-recognition.

After she is banned from Twitter, naturally, she will face the opinion of the Georgians about her on live TV.

It’s been a roller coaster of a season for Odell Beckham Jr., and the ride only continues — just as the Rams are headed to the NFC championship, his Bitcoin salary may have taken an enormous hit. In the midst of a cryptocurrency crash, the value of Bitcoin has been sent tumbling to nearly half of what it was worth in November when Beckham originally announced the deal.
Beckham isn’t the only athlete whose salary is at least partially paid out in cryptocurrency. Aaron Rodgers, Klay Thompson, and Andre Iguodala also agreed to take part of their salaries in Bitcoin, which is starting to look like an interesting financial decision as the market collapses — it’s a bit early to use the term “unwise,” but some may describe it that way.
Karma is coming for Aaron Rodgers.

A new side effect from the Covid vaccine from Down Under.
An awkward vaccine side effect has been reported by a Victorian woman who claims her body’s “high beams” have been permanently switched on since getting double jabbed.
Melbourne-based content creator Tee Jay, who runs the Instagram and TikTok account wippa_snippa, shared the unusual dilemma with her audience on Sunday.
She claimed her “headlights” remained on even when she was sitting next to a heater and when outdoor temperatures surged towards 40.
The “headlight” euphemism is typically used when referring to the appearance of prominent nipples - a display more commonly associated with cold weather.
Tee Jay said she further investigated the matter after receiving several messages from people who made the observation in recent videos.
“So everyone’s been pointing out to me that in all my videos you can see my headlights,” she told viewers.
I looked for a long time, I think this is legitimate. I gotta go, turkey is done.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is offended. No, it’s not because of his constant goalpost moving when it comes to the filibuster or opposition to letting voting rights legislation pass-it’s because people are mad at him about his comments about Black voters. Well, the Senate minority leader couldn’t bear the thought that anybody could think that he could initially separate African-American voters into a different category.
According to the Associated Press, McConnell claims that his comments were mischaracterized: “This outrageous mischaracterization of my record as a result of leaving one word out inadvertently the other day … is deeply offensive,” he said during a press conference in Louisville Friday.
“I’ve never been accused of this sort of thing before. It’s hurtful and offensive, and I think some of the critics know it’s totally nonsense,” McConnell said Friday.

‘immune’ system is a bit of a misnomer
- it’s a defense system
- not guaranteed
- not infallible
- and not any assurance of not getting sick or infected (and then having long term or permanent bodily changes)
- and lots of people’s immune systems have abnormalities or ‘defects’
it is true that in your life, and with or without extra help, your ‘immune system’ has fought off every infection you got, so far.
it will keep doing that, though possibly less effectively if you damage parts of it.
until it loses it’s first battle.
then you’re dead.

Gov. Kristi Noem’s interim chief of staff on Wednesday, Jan. 26, likened banning transgender girls from participating in girls’ sports to thwarting terrorism.Following public testimony in the House State Affairs Committee on Wednesday, Mark Miller, interim chief of staff and legal counsel to Noem, told lawmakers that even though the state has seen only one transgender girl perform during the last decade, the goal of the measure is preventative.
“It’s sort of like terrorism,” Miller said. “You see it over there, and don’t want it to get to here.”

That the economy performs so well under Democrats and does so poorly under Republicans is perhaps the most important least understood story in American politics today.
And it is “least understood” in no small part because it is covered by various media in different (if converging) ways.
1. The RW/GOP-oriented media will cover the economy on strictly partisan grounds: under a Republican Administration, normal growth and/or slight upticks are treated as THE GREATEST ECONOMIC NEWS EVAH!!!!, while under a Dem Admin, nothing - but nothing - positive is, or ever can be, reported: no matter what the actual numbers, it’s always just a few reports away from 1931…..
2. The “Mainstream” media tends to report good economic news, but typically adds a good dash of negativism as well: one supposes, to avoid the idiotic charges of “bias”…

Years ago, in a high school drama class, I was reciting a monologue (that I had written) in which my character was a war veteran in a psychiatric facility. I dropped a deliberate F-bomb as I performed (the script I gave the teacher ahead of time used the word “screwing” instead).
Shocked my classmates for sure, but my teacher not only did not scold me for using the word but congratulated me for having the stones to do it and thought it really helped sell the character.
I really hope teachers like him are not a permanent thing of the past.

No, unfortunately - the problem is that these videos are hosted at Twitter, and they’re serving them in a preset size, so changing the dimensions of the video at LGF doesn’t work - it gets clipped and doesn’t show the whole thing. I’m still checking, though.
