The Correlation Of Sunspots And Coffee Bean Production
I kid you not. The number of sunspots seems to be well correlated with the total world production of coffee beans. It has been noted since the 1700s that grain prices and sunspots have been correlated, so I guess this is not to big a surprise. The solar magnetosphere effects the earth’s weather. Weather effects production of all sorts of produce. Expect to pay a bit more for your morning cup of joe in the coming years. Of course, some good AGW types will probably hold that the coffee bean crop effects the sunspots, but then again, they think CO2 causes global warming too.
