American Thinker is a hotbed of crazy. You may remember them as the people who brought you the “Ayers wrote Obama’s books!” conspiracy theory, but on any given day you can find birthers and more there. Let’s take a look at today’s offering!

Obama’s odd mannerisms intrigue a psychotherapist like me. He also presents a serious diagnostic challenge

Considering you’ve never met the man, why yes ‘Doctor’, I suppose he would.

Many people attribute Obama’s oddness to his narcissism. True, Obama has a gargantuan ego, and he is notoriously thin-skinned.

Yet a personality disorder like narcissism does not explain Obama’s strangeness.

It also doesn’t fully explain his ‘strangeness’ to the nirther crowd that makes up American Thinker’s base, or the pundits who call Hawaii exotic and foreign. Not the Reel Amurka like, say, Wasilla and its meth labs.

Physical problems: There are a multitude of physiological conditions that can cause people to act strangely. For instance: head injuries, endocrine disturbances, epilepsy, and toxic chemical exposure.

It makes me wonder: Did Obama ever have a head injury? His stepfather in Indonesia was purportedly an alcoholic abuser. Was Obama subject to any physical abuse?

I know. You’re just asking questions. BTW, an ‘alcoholic abuser’ of what? Alcohol? I’m wondering about the head injuries the writer may have experienced.

Drugs and alcohol:
Obama admits to a history of drug use in his youth. Did his usage cause some damage? Does Obama still use?

Another riveting question raised by the brave souls at American Thinker previously, when they alleged that Obama was meeting a drug dealer in DC rather than attending his daughter’s soccer game.

Could Obama have Asperger’s?

Of course not:

In contrast to Obama, those with Asperger’s get fixated on some behavior, like programming computers. Obama lacks this kind of passion and zeal.

See, Obama is too shiftless and lazy to have Asperger’s. Welp, we’re two for three on the Racist Sterotype, can we get an ‘uppity’?

Yes We Can!:

While Obama doesn’t appear to hallucinate, he seems to have delusions. His believing he has a Messiah-like special gift smacks of grandiose delusions.

Yes, what is this “Office of the President” thingy anyway, and what makes Obama think he’s so special for holding it?

Mental Illness: Obama’s family tree is replete with the unbalanced. His maternal great-grandmother committed suicide. His grandfather, Stanley Dunham, was particularly unhinged: He was expelled from high school for punching his principal; named his daughter Stanley because he wanted a boy; and exposed young Barry to not just drunken trash talk, but unrestricted visits with alleged pedophile Frank Marshall Davis (who might or might not be Obama’s biological father). Barack Sr. was an abusive, alcoholic bigamist.

As with “Ayers wrote Obama’s books!11!”, American Thinker is your one stop shop for the conspiracy theory that Frank Marshall Davis is Obama’s biological father and, as an extra bonus, may or may not have had an ‘affair’ (their word) with the then-9 year old Obama.

-Trauma: My gut tells me that Obama was seriously traumatized in childhood.

That’s where the truth lies, right down here in the gut. Do you know you have more nerve endings in your gut than you have in your head? You can look it up. Now, I know some of you are going to say, “I did look it up, and that’s not true.” That’s ‘cause you looked it up in a book. Next time, look it up in your gut. I did. My gut tells me that’s how our nervous system works.

But I think there may be something even more insidious in his family background.

Of course you do! Lay it on us.

While I can’t prove it, the degree of Obama’s disconnect reminds me of my sexually abused clients.

Here we go. Obama had a gay ‘affair’ as a 9 year old with either his grandfather or Frank Marshall Davis. Which side does Robin of Berkeley come down on? What’s the gut say?

Apparently, young Barry was left in the care of Communist Frank Marshall Davis, who admitted to molesting a 13-year-old girl. As a teenager, Obama wrote a disturbing poem, “Pop,” that evoked images of sexual abuse — for instance, describing dual amber stains on both his and “Pop’s” shorts.

Both of course. Why go for one crazy theory when you can combine them all? “Pop” is a poem about Obama’s grandfather and the great minds at American Thinker have been alleging it’s about sexual abuse since 2008.

Obama will not change. He will not learn from his mistakes. He will not grow and mature from on-the-job experience. In fact, over time, Obama will likely become a more ferocious version of who he is today.

Why? Because this is a damaged person.

And there you have it.

Because if anyone knows about damaged people, it’s people who write for American Stinker.
