In moderating his approach, Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs seems to be on the right path. A critic of jihadism during the Bush years, he broke from the right when he began to see people he respected joining up with Nazis and unapologetic racists. Having seen both sides, LGF is now a great staple in the building up of the pluralism necessary for a society in which we can all cohabitate. Let’s move away from the hate of the Pamela Gellers and into something more constructive.

Serious haters in the comment section of that article but it was refreshing to see personal insight expressed so clearly. You'd think that people have something, somewhere which they'd like to support. Why waste so much energy spreading negativity when the issues and organizations you support NEED your help.

Is it too much to ask that the mosque proponents show some consideration to the non-believers that oppose construction where planned? Or is consideration in this context antithetical to muslem belief (non-believers must submit to the will of the ummah)?
