This was Tweeted by a scientist I know.We, the undersigned, call for Google Scholar to remove the works of Answers in Genesis, Creation Ministries International, and the Institute for Creation Research from the Google Scholar search engine because they do not produce scholarly work.

Btw, how come no one is screaming censorship like they did in my Rachel Corrie column?? Is it ok to stop certain kind of lies and not others?

I went and read those comments. I understand your frustration. As for an explanation, all I can think is that certain topics attract a better class of commenter.

Who decides what is "scholarly" work? Is it simply because it is "Creationism" that you are all signing this? What is the standard for so called Scholarly work and is it a set standard that all Scholarly" works must meet?
In case you wondered, No, I haven't signed it. I'd like to know more about exactly what it is that the three named are about. I looked at Answers in Genesis. Don't see a problem with it.
I'll be checking out the others later. Time to call my husband right now though.
