If this “human error” occurred on behalf of the Democrat the GOP would be screaming “fraud”. Of course they couldn’t blame ACORN or the NBPs.

And Micheal Moore and other Dems are doing exactly that.

Can you help me out? Is #1 a case of Tu quoque, or Magical balance fairy? I am still having a tough time with that.

Can you help me out? Is #1 a case of Tu quoque, or Magical balance fairy? I am still having a tough time with that.

Its “Tu quoque” because its “they do it also”

Magic Balance Fairy is an argument that one example of side A counter acts many examples on side B.

That said Buck have you read up on the woman who found the missing ballots?

“For context, it’s worth noting that Kathy Nickolaus is a Republican donor who’s been involved in a series of controversial elections, including a ballot mix-up in 2004, sample ballots in 2005 that accidentally told voters who to vote for, a 2007 incident involving touch-screen voting, and perhaps most importantly, a 2002 controversy in which Nickolaus was granted immunity as part of a criminal investigation into Republican misdeeds in the State Assembly.”

This does not automatically prove that the votes are false/fake, after all a broken clock is still right twice a day.

Still, I am glad to hear that these particular votes are going to be investigated before a winner is declared.

You can’t have the kind of record this woman does an expect people to take you at your word alone on this serious an issue.

Reportedly, the Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus didn’t find just any random number of votes — she discovered exactly 7,582 ballots… and Prosser needed 7,500 votes to come out ahead in the recount

Bowers points us to evidence that Nickolaus has a history of voting irregularities. According to one report, she once raised a red flag when she “decided to take the election data collection and storage system off the county’s computer network - and keep it on stand-alone personal computers accessible only in her office.” And a WSJ reporter tweeted that Nickolaus “was granted immunity after the state’s caucus scandal. She was then an Assembly Republican Caucus employee.”

The blog One Wisconsin Now has even more information on what’s going down in Waukesha County:

The County auditors said it was eminently possible — including historical precedent — for Nickolaus or a rogue employee to tamper with data. Why? Nickolaus insists on controlling password access and has unilaterally decided to move sensitive files, like election results, onto her personal computer….

I don’t think this line is true:

she discovered exactly 7,582 ballots… and Prosser needed 7,500 votes to come out ahead in the recount

I think he was about 200 behind, and now he is 7500 ahead.

He needed approx. 200 or so….

Also, you guys are missing the point of the post. This was all done with a Republican and Democrat watching everything.

AND the Democrat is saying everything was done above board. That is why they was there. To verify the process and the votes. To simply dismiss that (The Vice-Chair of the Waukesha County Democratic Party) is to dismiss the witness for no reason other that you don’t like the outcome.

AND attacking Nickolaus this way is really wrong. These sort of issues happen in almost every polling stations. Usually they find the errors and make the corrections without everyone watching. When it is not a high profile and close election the additional (or subtracted) voted are not noticed by everyone.

You will find a history of this with anyone who has done many elections.
