Do Jail broken iPhone 3GS get the iOS5 upgrade?

It looks like the Nexus One was shipped without some root security system that ICS needs.

Also, I think the Nexus one is the second generation of the Google made android phone. So it would be equal to the iPhone 3G, not the 3GS.

Is the 3G being updated to iOS5? No it is not.

The third generation Google made android phone is the Nexus S, and it has been promised Ice Cream Sandwich.

Does any jail broken version of iPhone get the upgrade? No. What does that have to do with anything?

We aren’t comparing hardware here, but if you want to do that, fine. The point is that the Nexus One shipped less than two years ago and is already obsolete in terms of Android upgrades. Unacceptable. The 3GS shipped almost 2 1/2 years ago and is still getting iOS upgrades. Do you see the difference? If I bought a Nexus One the day it was released with a 2 year contract, the phone became obsolete before my contract even expired. Manufacturers know that these devices are purchased with a 2 year plan and should be able to support a device for at least 2 years. Period.

it is not obsolete. It still works great. You have had two OS upgrades in the 2 years you owned it. It is running Froyo and still works better than any 2 year old iPhone.

It still has True Multi Tasking, Flash support, Voice Control, Expandable memory, a USB port, more customizable home screen, including customizable widgets, Better cloud-computing support, a Larger screen, a Better camera,
Better integration with Google Apps like GMAIL, Calendar, Google Maps, and Picasa…. and you don’t have to use iTunes

Hardly obsolete
