A Visit from Sam

My daughter's dog, the most excellent Sam

My daughter came home for what I thought would be a two or three day visit before she went back to her apartment, and she brought her dog with her.

Well - the apartment complex is virtually abandoned because all the students have gone home for break; and my daughter caught a cold and oh, my - it’s just too comfortable having Mom to get food and take care of the dog while recuperating from said cold. So - they’ve been here for a few days longer than I thought. No matter - they are both more than welcome. But here is a pictorial essay of Sam’s visit.

It’s the mess on the floor that’s getting bigger every day! sheesh. No toy lasts more than a few minutes with him.

Have you tried something more durable, like the Kong toys? I especially like the ones that you put treats inside and make them work for it. Keeps them entertained for hours.

Someone just suggested Kong toys to me. Daughter and I are about to leave for PetSmart as soon as she gets dressed.

I think that Kong also has the soft toys, but with a chewer, don’t get those…he’ll rip them to shreds. Get the hard ones. They really are virtually indestructible. Have fun, and please pick me up a large box of Milk Bones while you’re there. ;-)

It’s the furniture covers! You get them on and positioned the way you think will be best, then the dog get’s on and positions them the way he thinks will be best —off.

Ah. No clue what he is; adopted from the pound. He’s about 30 pounds; his nose looks to me like German Shepherd or some such; his fur is curly on his back - so maybe some sort of spaniel? We just don’t know. My daughter thinks he’s something like this black mouth cur.
