Tammy Duckworth's service was brave and honorable and should indeed be considered heroic. Joe Walsh may thus go fuck himself. I am so glad I was able to convince my father not to give this asshole any money. IL-8 is the only Illinois House race where I'm rooting for the Democrat.

As a former Republican myself I can't understand people like you who vote straight party line Republican especially after their abhorrent behavior which I want to say is recent but I think began back in the Bush, jr years.

This is exactly the line Republicans always use against Vets (they are not heroes and or they only joined for the resume or that they should not talk about their service) if they happen to be Democrats. But if the vet happens to be a Republican they run on that full bore. The GOP knows that a Democrat vet takes away the GOP's meme of "GOP is pro military and the Dems are all Hanoi Jane traitors".

You are welcome. my opposition to Joe Walsh is a matter of political hygiene. Illinois has a number of good Republicans like Peter Roskum and Senator Mark Kirk, but having Walsh around makes the rest of us look like assholes. And getting rid of him will also send a message: It's OK to be stridently conservative, but being a hateful asshole will cost you your job.
