Unpleasant, but needed in this case. Sometimes people need to be made to let go.

I was trying to find out more about her parents. No luck so far. They seem like they could be uber-religious, considering the net nanny stuff and allegations of promiscuity. Or they could just plain be effin' weird. The girl's an adult, for Pete's sakes. Time to leave her be.

Of all the things that "kids these days" could be (ARE!) doing, these whackos should be down on their knees with gratitude that she is such an exemplary student! & bravo, University of Cincinnati!

My sister has not yet gone to that extreme but when my nephew made a 3.7 GPA in his first semester at Georgia Tech she want down to Atlanta to "meet his girlfriend." She wanted him to drop the girlfriend and transfer to Penn State so he would be closer to home. His second semester he made a 4.0. He still is with his girlfriend and at Georgia Tech.

Lemme guess. This is the sister who wants to tell you how to wear your hair?

Yes. She is the only sibling that I have. It makes for a very "interesting" life. And today is her birthday. Thank G-d I am at home.

If her parents are such control freaks, how come they let her major in Musical Theater and not Electrical Engineering? Do they think she is going to be a Broadway star?
