When I played Illuminati the orbital mind control lasers were one of my favorite cards.

And fishpickle is the English translation of a French phrase used by seamen in the Napoleonic Navy having to do with getting their asses handed to them by Lord Nelson, again.

As to the 27%, we can only wait. Like the dinosaurs they walk proud as the biggest dicks on the planet. But the climate is changing and they won’t be able to adapt.

Original Illuminati, or the card-based INWO?

NO. WAI.

Not sure of that. The percentage may shift, but I think a sizable proportion of the stupid and the crazy will be with us for awhile.

I’m pretty sure humans have always been running about 25-30% crazy on average so that sounds about right.
As for Fish pickles, the closest I have come to one is my husbands family who like to snack on pickled Herring. Looks a little like small whole fish soaked in snott. Mmmmm.

I once did some web work for a tailor who surprised me one day over coffee by telling me about the orbital mind control satellites that George W Bush controls.

He wasn’t kidding. He really is an untreated schizophrenic.

Take heart, their power is waning. What we’re seeing now is their desperate death throes.

As far as the 27%, I’m actually surprised it’s not higher due to, as you stated, the lack of civics knowledge (as well as American History) today’s “yutes” have !!!

I expect that it is higher. When you look at the numbers who voted for Alan Keyes, you see the % of right-wing-absolutely-insane/totally-misinformed. This does not tally the left-wing insane people at all. The right seems to have cornered the market on insanity these days, but I’m sure there’s at least another 5%-15% of crazy/totally-misinformed on the left.

Chadu,
Thanks for posting this. I was having a discussion regarding the crazification factor with an old friend the other day, but had completely forgotten that I must have caught the meme from the blog post you link.

OBAMUH IZ CROWNING HIMSELF KING!1! is a typical meme on TGDN, along with the usual Godwins.

He’s really brave to stand for something like America not having a king.
I believe he’s going to get his way on this one, since King Obama only exists in his warped mind.

Someone could earn their PhD in abnormal psychology by studying #TGDN.

16 Destro  Fri, Feb 1, 2013 6:43:32am

Again, I still think these attacks on Obama dominating the right wing is a racist on black sub conscious thing on the part of these right wingers.

Seriously, they are acting out that scene from “Birth of a Nation” pro KKK silent film where the white southern folk are besieged in their home and the black hordes are trying to break in and ravish their white women.

I know, it’s a horrible thing to say, but at this point that is the only thing that can explain the right wing reactions.

And after looking at the tweets, all I can say is:

Fraternity Closes Chapter Following Vandalism of Statue
The chapter that might secretly want to wear pointy hoods to their toga parties... Atheists, Mormon Scholars Talk Religion
A little debate never hurt nobody: Two groups came together Wednesday night to create understanding between groups commonly seen at odds. Two professors of history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sat on a panel with two atheist experts for a discussion to dispel misconceptions and seek understanding. Why the Temperature of the Yellow Sea Is a Big Deal, and Other Questions About the South Korean Ferry Disaster
The boat ran into trouble several dozen miles from Jindo, an island that sticks out of South Korea's southwestern corner like a little toe. Jindo is surrounded by a group of even smaller islands that are slightly farther afield from the mainland. The ferry was curving around those small islands at the time it issued a distress call. What caused the disaster? We ...

Calgary stabbings: How knife crime in Canada can cause ‘moral panic’
What Calgary police chief Rick Hanson called the "worst mass murder" in the city's history didn't end at the barrel of a gun. Instead, the 22-year-old suspect identified on Tuesday as Matthew de Grood is accused of entering the kitchen at a house party, taking "a large knife" and using it to fatally stab four men and one woman, all of whom were students ...
