They aren’t going to be happy until they only have 500 people left in the GOP country. lol

Either by redefining who is a person or, ahem, ‘Second Amendment remedies’.

Then America will return to the pure frontier nation it is supposed to be.

This is a long term goal of the extreme right. I have been told that one reason they oppose marriage equality is that it will make it harder to abolish no-fault divorce.

Now, really. That’s a bit disrespectful to Tarzan.

Once again demonstrating the GOPs laser-like focus on jobs and getting the gub’mint out of the lives of da people.

Because what kid doesn’t want to live in a home house where mom and dad tear each other a new ass each night/day/week?

8 Tigger2  Tue, Mar 5, 2013 11:25:43am

Looks like the Republicans want to also kill marriage. I could see a lot of young people saying fuck marriage, if it was the law.

This is almost hilariously bad. Hilaribad.

What are the possibilities of her him being more promiscuous? What are the possibilities of all these other things surrounding her his life that a 16-year-old girl boy, with hormones raging, can get herself himself into?”

“Take America Back.” All the way back. I guess mistakes are never made, people never change and dammit, I demand you live your life as I see fit. Just who the fuck ate these people? I mean it. Every day. A new and improved hand wants to go up our collective ass. Piss off. Tend thy own garden. Drop dead.

What about we make it harder for people to marry rather than make it harder for them to divorce? The religious right wants people to marry as soon as they get into puberty to prevent pre-marital sex so we made marriage for heterosexuals (apparently the heteros can’t make marriage work) as easy as pie.

… It’s hard to tell whether this is just your average example of Republican projection or the stinging butt hurt of a man who tried to tell his daughter not to get divorced and was told in response to pound sand. …

What’s hard about this? Of course it is the stinging butt hurt from being properly told to FOAD by a family member.

Going after divorce at this point in time is premature, and risks alerting the unaware to the GOP’s extremism.

An Interplanetary GPS Using Pulsar Signals
Spacecraft could determine their position anywhere in the solar system to within five kilometres using signals from x-ray pulsars, say astronomers. Navigating in space is a tricky business. The usual method relies on Earth-based tracking stations to work out a spacecraft's distance using radio waves, a process that is accurate to within a metre or so. That's fine for the radial distance, but ...

SIGN THE PETITION, learn about it: Feminist Campus - Campaign to Expose Fake Clinics
"Crisis Pregnancy Centers" (CPCs) or Pregnancy Resource Centers advertise on your campus and in your community. They pose as comprehensive women's health clinics and advertise under "abortion" and "family planning" services, but do not offer abortion services, contraception, or referrals. CPCs often provide false information about abortion, birth control, and the effectiveness of condoms for the prevention of STIs and HIV. Ultimately, their ...

‘Self-Aiming’ Rifle Turns Novices Into Expert Snipers - Tech - 20 May 2013
Matthew Lang at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, says the danger arises when the rifle falls into the hands of those who are neither hunters nor military snipers. "If it starts to find its way to individuals that plan to use it for other purposes, there will be a lot of time and money spent figuring out how to secure any public area ...

4 Reasons ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Secretly About Drugs
Nice, right? Anyway, here's my thesis: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not an action-adventure movie about an archaeologist who plays by his own rules and saves the day. Instead, the film is an exploration of Marion Ravenwood's crippling drug addiction. An addiction that was born from her unhealthy relationship and continued association with Indiana Jones. Is it true? Who cares. Can I prove ...

Woolwich: a History of Violence
As shocking and appalling as Wednesdays brutal murder was, Woolwich (wool-ich) is a not so surprising location for such an attack. As someone pretty local to Woolwich, I thought I might give a little profile of the area, if anyone is interested. Woolwich is traditionally a military area, with the old Arsenal at its centre and the new barracks one of London's important military ...

Rebranding, Continued. Governor Can’t Find a Single Latino in Pennsylvania to Work for Him
Pennsylvania Gov. CORBETT: No, we do not have any staff members in there. If you can ...

There Is No Such Thing Really as Professional Photographers
there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. Certainly there is varying levels of skills, but we didn't want to have a Flickr Pro anymore, we wanted everyone to have professional quality photos, space, and sharing." - Marissa Mayer, Yahoo ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

 Frank says:

Mr Zappa, I am astounded at the courtesy and soft voiced nature of the comments of my friend, the Senator from Tennessee. I can only say that I find your statement to be boorish, incredibly and insensitively insulting to the people who were here previously, that you could manage to give the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States a bad name, if I felt you had the slightest understanding of it, which I do not. -- - Senator Slade Gorton
