I suppose it is premature to blame Golden Dawn for this. But, if it is, it is a bad portent for things to come.

It is more than premature it shows a lack knowledge of who is who there (hence the downding- which will be removed if corrected). The left wing is obviously the ones responsible here since they tend to target banks, chain stores like Starbucks and the rich.

If it was a right wing organization (and they don’t bomb as much as the left wing does) they would have targeted minorities.

The left uses propane gas canisters as their IED of choice.

Corrected? No. I will let it ride. But I will include the Link that I had forgotten.

Greece is pre-1933 Germany - bombing Golden Dawn and there supporters is a moral right.

Due to the likelihood of unintended victims, there is no moral way to do that. And Greece is not ‘pre-1933 Germany’.

re: #5 Billy the Weatherman

An open Nazi party has 18 seats in Parliament, getting 6.9% of the vote, making putting them #5 in parties elected. The ruling coalition, despite denouncing the nazi party, still enacts policies against immigrants and migrants. The nation is constantly at the precipice of financial destruction. In this situation, a militant response to the nazi threat is a moral duty.

would you bomb a nazi party HQ on a busy street if you knew it could slow Hitlers accent to power?

No.

You might be able to recruit me to assassinate Hitler, but I wouldn’t bomb any busy street, especially only to ‘slow’ the inevitable.

Uh, the anarchists bombed the offices of non-Golden Dawn politicians… and a shopping mall. And a courier business. This isn’t exactly the Rotkampferbund.

It isn’t even the Iron Front.

Some people here are stuck in 2003, and others are stuck in 1933.

It is clearly anarchists that set off the bomb.

So far it seems that way. So upding for keeping your head when someone else (War on Music) is being stupid.

No, it isn’t. I can see how someone who nicknamed himself after William Ayers could think that, but you’re just as wrong and just as fanatical as he was in the 1960’s.

It just bothers me that Americans can’t even get the players in Greece correct how can they get what is happening in other countries correct?

I am not defending Golden Dawn, but they are probably not the planters of this explosive device.

Cool it on ‘Americans’ on this point, please. It wasn’t initially clear, and fascist groups have attacked shops belonging to their opponents in the past. Suspecting Golden Dawn wasn’t unreasonable initially. This sort of IED attack often causes early speculation that, while within reason, ends up being proven wrong.

Not downdinging, but on this one I’d ask you to please cut others some slack.
