Well it’s magnetic but not really rails, hence the term coil gun. I think rail guns have two sets of magnets or more but the bullet does not travel down the middle of a coil, but between them.

Yes and or stab fins like a flechette. But then at full auto it’s a spray & pray anyway. Going to be interesting to watch this tech emerge.
