“And……I HAVE NO BRAIN!” Which is a plus in Tea Party Ville. Thinking people scare them. Really. It’s like herd disease.

All hat, no testicles (yeah, I stole that).

The boring, but relatively sane Abel Maldonado just dropped out of the race today, leaving it wide open for this douche bag (at least until more TP douche bags decide to throw their balls into the ring).

That’s a shame. He like Huntsman has great potential to lead well, bring more people bask and at the same time given the state of the GOP base, no potential to win.

Well, I guess he understood the choice as “Brains” OR “Balls”.

This guy is a parody right? Please don’t tell me that the GOP in the largest state in the nation has degenerated to the point that a guy who is basically doing a SNL skit could actually be their nominee for Governor. How humiliating.

As of now, he’s the sole Republican in the race.

People like this are the reason the state only started to function again once they were removed from any legislative power.

The departure of former Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado from the California governor’s race Thursday leaves Republicans with two stark choices: One candidate who wants to build a fence on the border with Mexico and the other who supports same-sex marriage and abortion rights and voted for Barack Obama in 2008.

Ladies and gentlemen, the California GOP!

I look forward to 4 more years of Governor Jerry Brown

It looks like some other Republicans are likely to enter the race. I hope the GOP has a credible candidate. I’m sure Brown will win reelection handily, but its not good for democracy when you basically don’t have any credible opposition. Of course, this is what the GOP has done to itself.

The credible candidate was Maldonado, but he never had a chance because he voted to raise taxes.

The problem isn’t just with the candidates; it’s with the GOP base who get more extreme every single day, egged on by the cynical bastards who rule talk radio and will crucify any candidate that doesn’t subscribe to their beliefs 100%.

The CA GOP is a freak show that this clown accurately represents. The CA GOP has reacted to its marginalization in state-level politics by getting more and more extreme.
