Ann Coulter: “Wendy Davis is a Kept Woman”
If you run through the headlines as I did in my column this week, it’s all about the amazing story of this woman who raised her kids and it shows that you can be a single mother and still go to Harvard Law. And she keeps saying that “my story is the story of millions of Texas women.” No, it’s the story of Anna Nicole Smith. It’s the story of Ariana Huffington. Find a man, find a sugar daddy to raise your kids while you run off to law school. I don’t think a lot of women are going to sympathize with that.

It would be an amazing story if it were true. She is a kept woman, not a single woman. is America ready for a kept woman? I don’t know.
Wow, more of the cutting edge conservative humor Ann is known for. Of course, the basis for it is distorted, at best:
The part of Wendy Davis’ story that conservative pundits have really latched onto is her second marriage to attorney Jeff Davis, who helped pay for her law degree. Jeff Davis cashed in his 401(k) and the two of them took out a loan, which Wendy Davis said she took a “vibrant” role in paying back.
Wendy Davis took aim at the allegations in this interview (subscription required).
