Alternatively, the climate change denying gig is becoming less remunerative and he has to branch out. We can always hope so.

The birtherism isn’t all that obvious, and aside from a couple of R Lizards, what ‘mainstream’ rightist (well, my father, but he’s a special case :-P) isn’t on that train by now?

The really scary thing is that some Americans probably recruited him to say this, and that the new talking point is disenfranchising anyone who receives a government benefit and isn’t a defense contractor.

By their definition, that’ll probably even include public-school teachers for the short amount of time they’re willing to keep it around before full abolition.

“….indeed, given the scale of electoral fraud practiced by the “Democrats,” he may not actually have been re-elected (always supposing that he had the constitutional right to hold the office of president in the first place).”

Bugfuck crazy or deeply cynical - in the end, does it matter which?

I’m still amused at the “Tea Party” cozying up to a mentally disturbed British aristocrat.

Good point. If there’s one thing we fought to get away from…

…OK, in reality, the Fathers broke ties with him after they announced they were telling Parliament to F off and tried to negotiate directly with him as a replacement assembly, at which time he officially said ‘screw you’…but still. the traditional story would make it seem ironic… :-

Of course the tea party will cozy up to an aristocrat. Aristocracy of one kind or another is pretty much always the right wing utopia.

Very important: If you are claiming any handout, you are not entitled to vote. Taxpayers will have the right to vote, but taxpayees will not.

Why can’t I ever find that passage in the Constitution? It must be there because every wingnut cites it as fact.

For the record… is social security a handout? how about medicare? farm subsidies? FHA mortgage guarantees? Vet’s benefits? Pretty sure everybody in Alaska is a payee, their share of the oil royalties from state-owned resources. What if you get your electricity from a federally subsidized utility, like the TVA or from Hoover Dam?

The funny thing is that most of the readers of WND are probably on social security and/or medicare, but they don’t realize he wants to take their right to vote away.

What about all the states that take more federal money than they pay in? Can we block everybody in them from voting too? Maybe we could also get rid of all of their Senators and Congresspeople.

This desire would disenfranchise every senior who is on SocSec and Medicare. And, short of a very few who think that their own SocSec and Medicare should go away, there is no way older American’s would vote for that. Look what happened when Bush 2 tried to privatize SocSec.

LOL. I work for a living, have had the same job for 19 years, and pay a fairly decent amount in taxes.

I am not voting myself a mother-FUCKING handout, Lord Monckton. That’s MY GAWD-DAMN MONEY I’m deciding how will be spent, to best benefit ME because IT’S MAH FUKIN’ MONEY. That is how Democracy works, ass-wipe.

I assume Lord Monckton wants to go back to Feudalism where all the correct and good people just get money showered on them while they lay there and eat grapes? Then we can proceed from there to the guillotine, because that is what the Feudal societies did to their worthless parasitical hangers-on, whom in our modern era we refer to as the 1%. We can go back that way, Lord Monckton, but you won’t like it.
